Remembering John Leach
In March HATS said a sad goodbye to long-standing member John Leach after he passed away following a battle with cancer. A member of HATS for almost 30 years, John lent his talents to many productions over the years, his friendly and unassuming manner making him a popular member of the group.
John especially enjoyed acting in comedy and farce productions where his superb comic timing (and, in his last ever HATS production Stand and Deliver, his rendition of a Yorkshire accent!) really shone out.
John, it was ‘champion’ knowing you, and you are very much missed by us all. Our thoughts are with Margaret, Stephen, Kathryn and all the rest of John’s family at this sad time.
Our 2025 panto will be dedicated to John’s memory and proceeds from the raffle will be donated to Sarcoma UK.
About US
Formed in 1987, Huncote Amateur Theatrical Society has been entertaining the village of Huncote, Leics, and surrounding areas for over 35 years.
We perform a varied mixture of pantomimes, comedies and murder mysteries, together with the occasional variety show.
We rehearse on Thursday evenings and sometimes Mondays as well. New members are always warmly welcomed! (For under-17s, check out the Junior HATS section.)
